Great food and a great value. My boyfriend and I visited today and it was a little crowded on the inside, but the food was delicious. Healthy food that is cheaper than going to the chain restaurants! Real food and pleasant staff.

We were traveling from PA and stopped here on our way into Florida. We had the oxtail, goat curry and steamed vegetables. It has got to be our favorite meal on our road trip!! So delicious. The owner is very pleasant and sweet too! She gave us a piece of jerk chicken when we told her we’ve never tried it before; and didn’t want any for it! Highly highly recommend. Will definitely come back when we are in the area to try the patties, roti and baked goods.

Hi everyone, please don’t take my review lightly because I don’t have time like that. However, if you have not yet tried “Brown Jamaican Restaurant and Bakery” in Palm Bay Florida, then you’re truly missing out on real Jamaican cuisine. This is not some food thrown together and say it’s Jamaican, this is authentic Jamaican food cooked with a lot of love. Trust me, I’m a Jamaican over 70 and I know when food is well prepared. Who says it’s too spicy? That’s wrong because if my Mackerel and run down with two bananas this morning had a piece a scotch bonnet it would be too good. I tell you what, go try for yourself and come tell me if I lied. Written with Love!!!

Omg their patties are soooooo good. Literally melt in your mouth. They also have different flavors. I saw jerk chicken, fish, and of course beef patties. They used to have curry chicken patties but I didn’t see any but whenever I’m in the area I got to have some patties from them! Totally different than the the North east Jamaican patties.

A small place with a dedicated community. When we arrived we were the only customers but that quickly changed once Church let out and the regulars showed up. It’s clear these people eat here often as there were big smiles and warm hellos. The staff were very welcoming and friendly. They were happy to highlight their mostly vegetarian/pescatarian (see vegetarian explanation below) friendly foods. The patties were just as I had hoped and the fried dough dumplings were superb. We really enjoyed the side dishes (I don’t know the name of the yellow dish but it is made with Salt Fish so not fully vegetarian but good nonetheless). My husband had the mildly spicy Jerk Chicken patty and really enjoyed it. I had the vegetable patty and it was delicious. We shared the sides and thoroughly enjoyed them. This place is designed to mostly accommodate take out but they do have a couple of tables for dining in which is what we did. Definitely recommend this place to any local and travelers passing through.
